"May God, the source of hope, fill you with all joy & peace through your belief in Him, so that you will overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13
After raising a family of seven children, Mother Antonia received a call in her heart from the Lord to “come follow me” to Mexico, to comfort and serve Christ in the disguise of a prisoner. For the past 34 years she has lived in La Mesa Penitentiary in Tijuana where she has become “Madre” (“Mama”) to the poorest of the poor. Through her intense faith and example she brings hope and mercy into the lives of her many “sons and daughters”, as she refers to them.
Her mission also includes countless works of charity including a loving home known as Casa Campos de San Miguel for women with many various needs. She assists widows and orphans of the police, patients in hospitals and prison infirmaries and provides medicine and support for all in need. Mother Antonia also founded the Eudist Servants of the 11th Hour, an order for older women wishing to dedicate their loves more fully in service to others.
Mother has received numerous national and international awards and has been featured in Readers Digest, People, Parade etc. and has appeared on Good Morning America, the Naomi Judd show and many T.V. shows in Mexico. Her biography, “The Prison Angel”, was released in Spring 2005. The Spanish edition was released in Mexico in July 2009.
